1. What file type is best for DTF printing?
A high-resolution transparent PNG is a dependable choice for most single designs. Print-ready PDF files can also work when fonts and artwork are properly prepared.
2. Does a DTF file need a transparent background?
Yes, when you do not want a rectangular background printed. A white-looking screen background is not always transparent, so verify the checkerboard transparency before upload.
3. What resolution should DTF artwork be?
Aim for 300 DPI at the final print size. Enlarging a small web image does not create missing detail and can produce soft or jagged edges.
4. Can I use a JPG for DTF?
A JPG can work when a full rectangular background is intended. Because JPG does not support transparency, it is usually less convenient for isolated logos or shirt graphics.
5. Can Canva files be printed as DTF?
Yes, if exported at adequate quality and the background is handled correctly. Review fine text and transparent areas after export.
6. Should I mirror my DTF artwork?

Raster artwork contains a fixed number of pixels. Once enlarged beyond its useful size, edges lose definition; obtaining the original file or recreating it is better than artificial enlargement.
9. Will RGB colors print exactly as they appear on screen?
Screens emit light while printed ink reflects it, so exact matching is not guaranteed. Calibrated workflows and physical samples matter when brand color is critical.
10. Do thin lines and tiny text work in DTF?
They can, but extremely fine details may not hold adhesive or remain legible after pressing and washing. Simplify fragile details and test when they are essential.
