Check your shirt order as soon as it arrives. If something is wrong, email LuxPort Print Co with your order number and clear photos. If the problem is our error or a product defect, we provide a replacement or another appropriate resolution at no additional cost; if a misspelling or wording mistake was already in the proof you approved, it is not treated as a shop error. That is why careful proof approval matters.
Shop error or approved-proof error: what's the difference?
A shop error means the delivered item does not match the approved design or order. An approved-proof error means the mistake was already in the version the customer authorized for printing, or came from information the customer selected or supplied.
A wrong design, incorrect print placement, wrong shirt color, damaged garment, defective product, or print materially different from the proof may be a shop-side problem. But if the proof says “Micheal” instead of “Michael,” and the shirt says “Micheal,” the printer followed the approved artwork. The same goes for a wrong date or wording in that proof. A size chosen incorrectly at checkout is a customer selection error; a different size delivered than the size ordered is an issue to report.
Ask whether the delivered shirt matches the approved proof and the order details. Our proof checklist covers what to review before approval. Here, we explain what happens after delivery.
Why does approving a shirt proof matter so much?
LuxPort sends a design proof before production, and production begins only after you approve it. That approval confirms the design you want printed, so it matters when a later wording concern arises.
Read names, numbers, dates, and every word letter by letter. Check placement and colors, then verify sizes against the order. Have a second person review it: fresh eyes can catch mistakes the original reader overlooks. For school, company, and team apparel, compare the artwork with a typed roster.
For group branding, see team, school, and company logo guidance and how to handle a low-resolution logo before approving artwork.
What should you do the moment your shirts arrive?
Open the package, count every shirt, and compare each item with the approved proof and order. Do this promptly: LuxPort's issue-reporting window is 7 days from delivery.
Check the quantity first, then design, spelling, dates, numbers, print placement, garment color, and size tags. With groups, organize shirts by size so a shortage or mismatch stands out. Inspect both sides when you ordered front and back printing. Photograph damaged packaging before discarding it.
You do not have to decide whether a problem qualifies for a replacement. Identify what seems wrong and contact the team within the policy window.
How do you document a misprinted or damaged shirt?
Send your order number, a short explanation, and clear photos. Useful photos let the team compare the delivered item with the proof and order record.
- Full shirt: photograph the complete front or back, showing placement.
- Close-up: show the misspelling, print problem, or damage clearly.
- Size tag: include the label if the size or garment is wrong.
- Packaging: photograph the box or mailer if it arrived damaged.
Explain what you expected versus what arrived. For a group order, identify how many shirts are affected and share representative photos. Keep the items unworn and unwashed during review. Do not mail anything back unless the team authorizes it and provides instructions.
How does LuxPort handle a problem with my order?
Under the Return and Refund Policy, if an order arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially different from the approved proof, email team@luxportprint.co within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos. LuxPort reviews the issue and, when the problem is our error or a product defect, provides a replacement or another appropriate resolution at no additional cost.
Reporting a problem does not automatically mean every shirt gets reprinted. The team reviews the proof, original order, and delivered item to understand what happened. A result that differs from your approved proof is different from artwork printed exactly as approved with a customer-submitted typo. Tell us which items are affected, including the number of shirts.
The policy does not promise a specific replacement method or completion date for every situation. The right first step is to share clear information for review.
I approved a misspelling. Can I get corrected shirts?
You can contact the team to correct the file and make a new order for the shirts you need. Personalized, made-to-order items are not eligible for returns or exchanges due to customer-submitted spelling, wording, color, or date errors, incorrect size selection, or a change of mind.
A corrected run is a new order at the current listed price, not a shop-error replacement. For reference, custom T-shirts are $24.99 each with front printing or $29.99 with front and back printing, a $5 back-print addition per shirt. Custom cruise shirts are $27.99 front-only or $32.99 front and back.
Contact the team first so we can help you correct the file and reorder only what you need. If three names are wrong in a larger group, you can reorder just those three corrected shirts. There is no minimum order, so reordering a few is possible. Review the revised proof carefully.
Can I cancel or change a shirt order before it prints?
You may request cancellation before production begins. Once a personalized order has been approved or entered production, cancellation may not be possible.
If you notice an incorrect name, date, size, or color, send the correction before you approve the proof. Clearly state what needs to change and check the revised version. Do not assume a message after approval will stop an order already in production. Contact the team promptly if you have a concern.
What if the item is not personalized?
Unused, unworn, non-personalized items may be eligible for a return request within 30 days of delivery. They must be in original condition, with tags and packaging. Contact LuxPort before sending anything back.
This differs from the personalized-item policy. The 30-day request window is not automatic return approval. Explain the request and follow the instructions provided if the team authorizes a return. Never send a package back without authorization.
How can you avoid errors on group and crew shirt orders?
Assign one person to maintain the roster, size list, and final approval. A single accurate list makes problems easier to prevent and document.
Use typed names exactly as they should print, with each wearer's size and any individual wording. Check spellings against the original list, confirm sizes before checkout, and compare all details with the proof. Our guide to collecting sizes for a bulk shirt order helps organizers prepare.
The 12 Custom Work Shirts Business Starter Pack costs $155.88. The 24 Custom Contractor Work Shirts Crew Special costs $311.76. Both include front and back printing, with a proof included with every order, approved before we print. The 24-pack also includes 1 free spare shirt per 24 shirts, a useful cushion for a size swap. The spare does not replace checking the requested sizes.
Have a second person compare the final proof with the roster, including dates and numbers. Fixing a typo before printing avoids discovering the same issue across an entire crew order.
